Administration

Uganda Christian University is led by the Vice Chancellor assisted by the Deputy Vice Chancellors and the College Principals. The University is also governed by the University Council and Senate. Arua Campus is led by the Director assisted by an Academic Registrar and a Campus Secretary.

Arua Campus Director

Rev. Julius Izza Tabi, is the fourth Director of Uganda Christian University Arua Campus. He is a PhD candidate at Uganda Christian University. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Religion, Society and Global Issues, MF Norwegian School of Theology; Bachelor of Divinity (with First Class Honors), Uganda Christian University; Diploma in Education Secondary, Kyambogo University; Diploma in Christian Ministries (unaccredited), Lake Victoria School of Evangelism and Rural Development. The overall trustees of the University—the University Council—create policy, set mission and purpose, and are tasked with building and maintaining a successful organization. They ensure good management and adequate resources and they appoint and support the Office of the Vice Chancellor. The Campus has a Local Advisory Committee (LAC) which provides governance support to the Campus Management.

The Deans lead UCU’s schools and faculties. Each academic department at Arua Campus is directly supervised by the respective school and or faculty deans of the University. The Senior Leadership Team manages the operations of the Campus through various administrative units.

The University Senate, chaired by the Vice Chancellor, is the chief deliberative body of the University; its membership is made up of representatives of the faculty, students, administrators, and deans. Arua Campus has an Academic Board chaired by the Director. The Campus Academic Board is the academic arm of the Local Advisory Committee.
