Application Procedure

  • Click here to apply online
  • Read the information and Click on ‘Start Application’
  • Enter required details
  • Click submit
  • A notification is sent to your email. Click on the ‘Activate Account’ link. You are redirected to the Login page
  • Enter your username (email address) and password you created in the beginning
  • Follow the 10 steps below to the end;

1. Choice of Admission & Intake

  • Click the down arrow to choose the level and Intake, Click Submit
  • The Tab for completed level turns green.
  • Scroll down to the next level

2. Choice of Study Program;

  • Choose choice 1/Campus/Session
  • Choose choice 2/Campus/Session
  • Enter details
  • Click ‘Save Program Choice’

3. Enter Personal Information

  • Enter details
  • Click ‘Submit’

4. Parents/Guardians Information

Enter details
Click ‘Update Affiliate Person’

5. Education Background

  • Enter details and upload required pdf files

  •  Click ‘Save Academic Background’

6. Employment Records

Enter details if any

Click ‘Next’

7. Referees

  • Enter Referee details

  •  Click ‘Update Referee Data’

8. Additional information

  • Check Appropriate Information Sources

  •  Click ‘Update Information Sources’

9. The Christian Philosophy of Uganda Christian University

  • Read the content

  •  Click in the Checkbox to Affirm and Subscribe to the Christian Philosophy of Uganda Christian University

10. Application Payment

  • Choose from available payment modes; MTN Mobile Money, VISA/MASTERCARD
  • Click ‘Make Payment’
  • On successful Payment, Click ‘Submit Application’

Entry Requirements

Ugandan Applicants for Degree programs should hold either

  • UCE & UACE Certificate with 2 Principal Passes OR
  • Diploma from a recognized institution of Higher Learning OR
  • A Pass in Mature Age Examination.

Kenyan Applicants for Degree should hold either

  • KCSE holders must have a minimum grade of C+ and above. OR
  • KACE, ‘GCE or A-levels’ applicants must have at least 2 principal passes or its equivalent. OR
  • A Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution of Higher Learning

Tanzanian Applicants for Degree should hold at least either

  • TCE & TACE Certificate with at least 2 Principal Passes OR
  • Diploma from a recognized institution of Higher Learning

Post Graduate Programs applicants should hold at least

  • A good first degree from a recognized institution of higher learning relevant to the course applied for.

Other International Applicants

  • International applicants must have qualifications that are recognized for University entry in their respective countries.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Intakes are at Uganda Christian University?

There are three intakes in an academic year, in (ADVENT) September, (EASTER) January and (TRINITY)May. Each of the intakes might have a different set of programs offered. For more details, visit our Academic Programmes page.

Who can apply?

Ugandan Applicants must have the minimum national entry requirements.

All other International applicants must have qualifications that are recognized for University entry in their respective countries. For help, contact admissions office admissions@ucu.ac.ug. Visit our International Applicants page.

How can one apply?

Applicants are required to pay a nonrefundable application fee of Ush. 50,000/= or $25 at any Stanbic bank branch in Uganda then proceed to the Academic office and present a receipt at the front desk for an application form OR You may download the application form from here (Click on the downloads tab), fill it in and pay for it on submission at any of our campuses.

  5. Confirm acceptance by paying a non refundable tuition fee deposit.

  • Download application form (Click on the downloads tab) and fill them
  • Scan and send the form to admissions@ucu.ac.ug (Undergraduate Programmes) or graduateadmissions@ucu.ac.ug (Postgraduate Programmes)
  • Check for the results of your application on the dates specified below
  • If admitted pick admission letter or request for it by emailing to admissions@ucu.ac.ug
  • Confirm acceptance by paying a non refundable tuition fee deposit.

What are the fees payment policies?

University fees may be paid in full at the opening of a semester or in two equal installments. Full Prompt Payment: EXEMPTS the student from payment of the Registration fee of 50,000/= (Fifty thousand Shillings). More information on payment can be found here.
